Developed specifically for and designed by school nurses, Patient Tracker is a simple to operate yet highly targeted application.
The system is developed in Microsoft .NET, using a SQL database to store patient data. This data (single user version) is stored locally on the PC, with the option to back up at any point to any disk or network drive.
The calendar based appointment interface highlights trends and makes it easy to spot potential student problems (e.g. doesn't like pe so always ill on a Tuesday).
Appointment days are colour coded, also making trends more noticeable.
Heights and weights are recorded and shown graphically, and innoculation details listing last innoculation date help to ensure that students are covered for foreign trips.
Care plans also form an integral part of the system.
